RynMesh is alpha software built in public. This page separates what is shipped in v0.7.0 from what is being built and what is deliberately deferred. Accepted engineering work is always traceable to a GitHub issue.
Milestone 1
Ryn Companion
The personal assistant is shipped: a desktop app with its own node, a feed that needs no setup, local learning, reading history, offline reading and multi-device sync. Remaining work is transparency, consolidation and portability.
Zero-configuration recommendations
Built-in public discovery, direction, preferences, evidence packets, and feedback-driven local ranking without a model.
First reading, offline reading, device sync
Read and bookmark real content right after install, download it for offline use, and keep two computers in step over a code-approved encrypted pairing.
Transparency and recovery
Per-source health with recovery actions, an explanation of what the ranking has learned, and undo for individual feedback.
Content and contract hardening
Daily Digest consolidation plus accessible, privacy-reviewed document and media handling.
Windows and Linux
A verified Linux desktop package is open for contribution; Windows packaging follows. Apple notarization needs maintainer credentials.

Trusted friends
A small, intentional group becomes more useful than isolated nodes without weakening owner control. The pairing, sharing and revocation paths shipped in v0.7.0; the ranking and diagnosis work has not.
Invite, share, follow, revoke
Invite by link or QR with explicit endpoint review, share content and chat with attachments, follow what friends choose to share, and revoke at any time. Works across NATs through a sealed relay mailbox.
Lend your AI to a friend
Per-friend permissions for your local AI service; a friend who uses it sees only their own questions, and access can be withdrawn.
Friends' shares inside For You
Rank friend-shared content in the main feed with an inspectable record of who published it and which node served it.
Group connection diagnosis
When three to five friends are online at once, show which links work, why one does not, and how to recover.
Shared egress and readable reputation
Short-lived per-user credentials for sharing network egress, and a visible history of how non-transferable reputation was earned.
Milestone 3
Working agent and services
Let an owner-approved agent do useful work across nodes within clear limits. The first service arrived early as the Private AI preview.
Private AI as the first service
Encrypted node-to-node task protocol, provider publication and discovery, a task-first Services catalog, model switching, and one settlement ledger.
Streamed answers and a service framework
Stream responses over the direct transport, and generalize the discovery and ordering seams so other services can reuse them.
Budgeted agent loop
Permitted action types, per-period limits, confirmations, and a complete local audit trail before any agent acts on your behalf.
Milestone 4
Open RynMesh network
Broader discovery and services arrive only after identity, abuse resistance, privacy, safety, and economic rules are hardened. Until then nobody you have not invited can reach your node.

RynMesh Credits are non-transferable reputation signals. The project does not represent them as money, an investment, or a guaranteed future asset.
